With SKINVIVE Westport patients will experience minimized discomfort through the addition of lidocaine. It is generally considered very tolerable by the majority of patients. For some patients we apply a topical anesthesia product prior to injection but most patients find this unnecessary.
Because SKINVIVE is hyaluronic acid based it has the benefit of the long track-record of safety and predictability that HA products enjoy. As an HA-based product it is also moldable and dissolvable should the need arise.
The results typically last six months or longer, and maintenance treatments may be recommended to prolong the benefits.

During your appointment, Dr. O’Connell will ensure that you are comfortable and will work to minimize any possible discomfort. SKINVIVE will be delicately injected into the deep layer of the skin using extremely fine, medical-grade needles. In most cases, appointments take 20 to 30 minutes. Some patients choose to use topical anesthetic cream prior to injection and others do not.
