Latisse® from Allergan is an FDA approved, topical medication to enhance eyelash growth. After several weeks of use your eyelashes will lengthen, thicken and darken. Latisse® is available in our Westport, CT office and most patients can begin treatment the evening of their consultation.

  • What is hypotrichosis?

    Hypotrichosis is another name for inadequate eyelashes.

  • How is Latisse® used?

    Latisse® is applied topically to the base of the upper eyelashes each night.

  • What happens if I stop using Latisse®?

    If use is discontinued, lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance.

  • Are there risks associated with use of Latisse®?

    All medications carry risks and potential side effects. Latisse® may cause a permanent increase in brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye as well as darkening of the eyelid skin that may be reversible. There are additional risks and a thorough discussion of risks, alternatives and potential benefits is an important part of your consultation with Dr. O’Connell.
