Fraxel® Dual

Since its introduction, nearly one million patients have been treated with the Fraxel® brand. We’re extremely pleased to offer the Fraxel® Dual Laser System.

Fraxel® is for people who want to look and feel younger but don’t want the extended downtimes that come with some other procedures – and the key concepts are “tone” and “texture.” With over a decade of treatments, Fraxel®’s proven technology can help reverse the visible effects of aging and sun damage including fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, and melasma. Acne and other scars can also be improved non-invasively with Fraxel®. Because Fraxel® Dual is non-invasive, it fits into your lifestyle and your current skin care regimen. Fraxel® Dual is designed to work internally within the skin to stimulate new collagen production without damaging the protective top layer so, in most cases, there’s no crusting, scabbing, or lengthy recovery time.

What is Fraxel® Dual?

Fraxel® Dual is a unique fractional resurfacing laser that utilizes two separate wavelengths (1550nm and 1927nm) to non-ablatively target the problem areas within the skin. By focusing on specific goals the patient can obtain the benefits of both wavelengths: improving the texture of the skin and also removing pigment.

Fraxel® Dual FAQs

  • Is Fraxel® invasive?

Fraxel® Dual is “non-ablative,” which means that it’s designed to work within the deeper layers of the skin without damaging the epidermis. With its non-ablative technology, safety is maximized while recovery time and risk of side effects are minimized.

  • Are multiple Fraxel® treatments recommended?

While results are immediate and progressive, Fraxel® Dual is designed as a series of treatments usually spaced about 2 to 4 weeks apart. Optimal improvement is usually visible in 2 to 3 months.

  • What is the Fraxel® recovery time?

With Fraxel® Dual most patients experience temporary redness and mild swelling that gradually subsides over several days.

  • What are the benefits of Fraxel® treatments?

With Fraxel® Dual, deeper collagen remodeling can be used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles such as crow’s feet and also to improve acne and other scars, including surgical scars. Fraxel® Dual also treats pigmentation and the effects of sun damage. The result is smoother, fresher, younger-looking skin with improved tone, texture, and clarity.

  • What areas of the body can be treated with Fraxel®?

With Fraxel® Dual virtually any area of the body can be treated. The most popular areas are those where sun damage is the greatest. While many patients have treated their hands, arms, and legs, the most popular areas are the face, neck, and upper chest.
