What is plastic surgery computer imaging?

In computer imaging for plastic surgery a digital photograph is taken and the image is manipulated to demonstrate what various surgical maneuvers might "look-like."

Concerns have been raised because the image can be so realistic that the patient might not understand that the image is not a prediction of the surgical result

He uses the system only as an educational tool to acquire and manipulate images for the sole purpose of educating and communicating with the patient and no warranty is expressed or implied by its use.

Yes. Dr. O'Connell uses digital photography for patient education and communication and also for archiving and communication with insurance carriers.
